Boom!
The ownership of the NBA team that recently moved to Oklahoma City has announced its new name: the Thunder. “Thunder” is a good name, I think. It’s evocative of the plains of Oklahoma, and, importantly, it’s actually a noun, unlike some other team names which shall not be mentioned here. Official team colors are blue, orange, and gold. The Thunder will play in the Ford Center, a relatively new, 19,600-seat arena with dozens of private suites per NBA standards.
Here’s wishing much success to the Thunder in their new home of lovely, sunny Oklahoma City. OKC really deserves an NBA team and it is great to see them have one.
